We are on the hunt for a Qualified Utility Arborist to join our team. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday, based in Paraparaumu. If you love the outdoors, physical work and maybe either at the beginning of your career or are ready for a career change – then this could be the ideal role for you!
This role is responsible for a wide range of vegetation and tree management activities on and around Electra’s customer lines. This is an important role ensuring that vegetation is controlled and maintained with strict Health and Safety requirements in accordance with the Electricity Hazards from Trees Regulations 2003 Act.
You must be comfortable working with trees of height and other potentially hazardous equipment like chainsaws. We are a close-knit and supportive team that helps each other out, no matter what! So, if you’re a hardworking team player then please apply!
As a Qualified Utility Arborist, you will need:
- Full NZ Driver’s License Class 2 required
- National Certificate in Horticulture (Level 4 Advanced)
- National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Utility Arborist) Level 3
- Relevant industry experience/use of machinery desirable
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Experience of Health and Safety practices
You have great communication skills with a positive approach to your work and the ability to talk to people from different areas of a project to ensure continuity and that deadlines are met, all whilst performing your job to a high standard, with an excellent health and safety record.
