About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager – Overhead Lines to join our programme team, to effectively manage our programme of work, including projects, on the HV and LV distribution network. Reporting to the Programme Manager and working alongside other project team members, you will be proficient at managing and overseeing multiple projects at one time.

You will provide the required liaison, documentation and everyday management of projects, while ensuring that all projects are risk-managed, budgeted effectively and delivered in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Scoping and planning of all HV and LV overhead projects and jobs
  • Monitor all teams' Health and Safety performance
  • Budget management for projects including variations
  • All materials are identified and available for projects
  • Comprehensive job packs are prepared and issued to field managers and discussed prior to commencement of work
  • Regular reporting of progress of work programme
  • Managing variations to scope of work and ensuring budgetary sign off is achieved

About You:

To be successful, you must be able to effectively manage in a busy, diverse environment with a superior attention to detail. You will also be a highly organised person with excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proven experience of at least three years within a project management role, and ideally five as a Line Mechanic!

In-depth technical understanding and knowledge of the electricity distribution industry and a passion for our industries Health and Safety requirements is a must, as is a relevant qualification in Project Management.
