What you’ll do:

You will be managing a network of cloud-based servers and systems to ensure our customers receive reliable and uninterrupted monitoring of their alarms.  As the owner of our systems, you will not only be ensuring they are performing optimally day in and day out, but also be part of the larger ICT team in our parent company, Electra, involved in infrastructure projects across the group. 

You will be also responsible for the testing and deployment of new alarm technology into our business in conjunction with our marketing team.  Wearing the system owner’s hat, you will control the maintenance and management of our systems, services, and infrastructure. Ultimately, you will undertake the system provisioning, management, and monitoring, creating reliable and trustworthy systems.

In addition, you will be working alongside our BI Analyst to source data and provide reporting to improve our business and support our customers. 

About you:

You’ll bring 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer to this busy, fast paced and hands-on position.  Your talent includes the ability to work to achieve resolutions to complex tasks in a timely and efficient manner, mixing people skills with technical nous.

Ideally, you will have experience in managing Alarm systems and receivers, or network receivers and/or communication routers, be comfortable dealing with configuration files and implementing changes to mission critical equipment through strong change management and release programs. 

You will be responsible for managing the introduction of the newest versions of firmware and configurations, leading the signing off the tested processes prior to them being released through over-the-air protocols, ensuring our customers equipment remains current, happy and healthy.

Furthermore, with your great interpersonal skills, you’ll ensure relevant documentation is delivered in a timely manner to our internal teams, on any new products, services and updates to our current range.

We envisage that you’ll possess a degree from a recognised Tertiary Institute in Networking and/or Computer Science, have a passion for signalling communication and an understanding of medical alarms would be highly advantageous, and strong experience across Office tools, Power BI and MS SQL.
