About the role
This is a new chapter, providing internal support to our field crews, when it comes to traffic management, now is your chance to be part of an amazing organisation
The key purpose of these roles is to undertake temporary traffic management and minor civil works within our Service Delivery team related to all aspects of capital and third party works, across the Electra Network.
You will be:
- Trenching and excavating of sites using both hand held tools and equipment and heavy machinery
- Establishing Traffic Management requirements for allocated jobs
- Setting up the Traffic Management Plan on site
- Managing traffic on site
- Completing all relevant documentation (hazard sheets, traffic management plan)
- Responsible to close down the site
- Assisting line crews with various tasks including heavy plant operation, laying duct and hauling
You’ll bring to this role:
- At least an STMS level 1 Practicing qualification
- Full, clean class 1 Drivers License
- Exceptional adherence and advocacy when it comes to Health and Safety
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time keeping and reliability
- 2 excellent references
- A fantastic attitude to get in and learn on the job!
We’d love to have people that have already been in a role like this, but are open to people new to the industry with STMS qualifications, it’s all about the attitude and willingness to learn and get stuck in. Of course, you will be physically fit and able, as there is a lot of heavy lifting and physical work.
